I had the pleasure of going out for a rip with with a couple fellow NDA'ers. I couldn't have picked a better bunch or a better day! That said here's the story:

It started out innocent enough. I made the the bet of 1st fish for a dollar and $5 for the biggest. Minutes later I had the first one flopping in the well. Stage one complete for Mr. Ahab(3rd person reference for Jimmy on Seinfeld). We proceeded to clobber a handful more with a wonder of where we should make the personal slot cutoff. Some loudmouth locals showed up and ruined our area so we decided to go crush free of jig tossing in our direction and a bunch of F-bombs for no particular reason. Turned out that was more than a good call. Guywhofishes started out like the tortoise and finished like the hare. He was over thinking things until the Stella made it's appearance. Good for him! I caught a few as usual. Wags managed to get some pig whacks on the Legendary DH Custom Lures. We may or may not have thought Dirty Mike should have been there to see the spectacle(kinda sad). After the well was brimming with 40 pounds of Devils Lake golden slabs, we felt like having fun with different lures. Our presentation became pretty darn experimental, but everything seemed to work. I got whupped up on size by my fellow anglers by a half inch and enjoyed every minute(I still owe them some cash for that). Thanks to Wags and Guywhofishes for being top notch boat mates. It's hard to imagine we have been doing this for 5 years running. Looking forward for next year already.

Oh man, such a great time. Lots of laughs, and walleye smashing. Guy's kvd style double hooksets were my favorite part! He really laid the screws to some of those fish lol. Thanks again for taking us out! Much appreciated as always

Out of curiosity has anyone else caught a walleye pitching crankbaits yet? I caught one today.

His name was Lewis.

Looks like it sucked. Should have been on the muddy Missouri with water that's now a foot and a half over the dead heads

So ah Normy, it's like this: The herd has a pack and the least healthy takes the crank bait. After that the herd can remain strong. They mumble while feining concern about poor ol' Lewis, but they don't really care.

Pretty sweet, summer is fun but there is something about a good ol' early spring whack and stack with good friends that you just can't get in summer. Well done boys
