Anybody ever find out they've had undiagnosed lyme's disease? I read a little about it recently and got me thinking. I've been in known infected areas and have found 1-2 deer ticks crawling on me. None have attached that I know of, but they are so small it would be hard to know for sure. I have in the past and recently have had 5 of the seven most prominent side effects almost consistently for the last couple of years. When they first started I contributed them to a lot of boozing and changing jobs to a much more physically demanding job. But I no longer drink heavily and my job is less physical plus wouldn't my body become more accustomed over the years to the work? I have a physical scheduled in a month or so and was thinking about bringing it up with the Doc.

Any thoughts?

Well if you are infected it doesn't take long to manifest, you'll have flu like systems that gets worse day by day, sore joints, some folks swell up like a ballon but not all,but if its been two years your showing signs of old age...But still have your blood checked, not all deer ticks carry the lyme bactria and not all bites have the red bullseye, most however will inbed, burrow right in,looks like a little scab,i used twiszers to pull the little bastards out, then the blood gushes out from the saliva they secrete to get the blood flowing, peroxcide stops the bleeding pronto.

I hate the little bastards, all ticks...Already out here in Minn, burn my back 40 every spring to kill'em off,but some survive and fall off the dog and crawl on me,its a battle that'll last until mid June, the they lay dormit until mid sept and reappear until the 1st frost.

I am guessing with the mild winter we had the ticks and other bugs will be thick this summer.

I was diagnosed lyme's disease back in 2003. I was sicker than a poisoned pup. I was sick for about a month before Dr Brent Hella from IMA Health care figured out what I had. Don't wait if you think you have it. I don't think my knees have been the same. They still hurt and never had a problem with them before.

I was diagnosed with lymes 2013 after going on a bear hunt in northern MN. Has changed my life. I think for the most part I beat it but have many post lyme symptoms that come and go. Many nerve issues, sensitive eyes, arthritis in knees, dizziness and fatigue. These come and go but not as bad as when I first had it. Horribly sick. This disease needs to be made more aware and needs more research to help find a type of vaccine. The western med drs fight with lyme specialist drs. They will both tell you different things and how are we supposed to know who is right? Very costly to treat with lymes specialists. Feel free to contact me via pm or whatever if you have questions or need advice. Ive been through the ringer with this stuff.
