M10 cow moose

A friend of mine will be out tomorrow looking for a chance to fill his tag. He went out opening weekend with a farmer friend and got his hunt cut short due to a 10 inch piece of steel that destroyed a tire. Any help would be appreciated.

It was in 2012 but I got my cow in the portal/Lignite area. Saw lots of moose and not much posted land.

i seen a couple cows 2 miles south of fortuna a few weekends ago (oct 19-20th), not sure they are hanging around still or not
but yes the lignite\portal area usually holds moose also
