Maybe NDA needs a new section.

I just looked at the fishing reports and the entire thing is filled with requests for information and not fishing reports. I'm NOT upset that folks ask for info AT ALL as I think it's a great way for us to help each other out. However, maybe there needs to be a "Help Wanted" section or something for these threads as fishing reports usually have different information. Just a thought.

Not bad idea KDM...but think it should be worded, Want recommendations or Help me out....Help wanted sounds like your looking for work. Just sayin...

How about just a clickable fishing forum which brings you to a page with 2 columns. 1 for help wanted and one for reports.

I think it is fine the way it is. There are not enough fishing reports to warrant another section. And ice, lake travel, and access are part of it in the winter.

Who reads those fishing reports anyway?? Everyone knows that fisherman are pathological liars and will feed you full of info to send you in the opposite direction of the spot they just ripped a limit from that morning.

it also has to be sunny, 75' and a 2mph whisper before the tarp comes off.

How dare you criticize my need for perfect weather!

I have been thinking the same thing, but also on the fence about it. I see the merit in those posts, but perhaps having it in a forum would work better. Still debating, but definitely looking to make a change of some sort.

I just added a section within the fishing reports area for "requesting information". In going through the recent fishing reports I was a little disappointed at the lack of actual reports ....

Never mind, that did not work how I hoped it would. I'll have to try something else ...

The truth is not many people will give out reports because who wants 100 boats out in your area. Plus a number of tournaments happen in the summer so that limits them also. Others, like myself, give limited reports, any more looks like a lot of bragging, or "what do you do with all those limits" questions.

Lot of "reports" get filed in a thread started by someone asking about a certain body of water or area...as opposed to someone creating a thread just to give an official "report".

How about a check box fashion. What body of water? Ice, Boat or Shore? Type of lure? Bait? Any additional info? (Paragraph style). That way nobody has to be getting butt hurt about telling people exactly where you're catching them. Very general info. Each entry can be categorized based on the body of water, that way when someone wants a report, they click on the body of water and see peoples entries with checked info without getting anything too specific unless the person giving the info wants to add it in the additional info at the end.

Am I the only one here that'll take a skunk day and learn from it? Put some fuel in the rigs and get on the water! Also, From here til middle May, Missouri River, Jig and a minnow, find some slack/warmer water. No fish, move to next spot. Avoid floating debris and sandbars.
