Pretty solid concentrations statewide at the moment. Still some big speck feeds still around. Haven’t seen a lot of lessers yet. In fact hardly any but I’ve only been out a handful of times. Normally they are stacked like cordwood in a few areas but seems they are also coming later and later every year. Got on a nice speck feed today and whacked an easy limit of specks. When scouting last night it had a few solid rafts of 100-300 ducks bombing in. Turns out they were literally all pintails. Blew my wad on a shit looking drake early and had to watch some beautiful birds with 3-4” sprigs work the spread.

Most all the bigger traditional waters have big piles of snows now. North to south. Kurt they aren’t too far away. This week should start locking up smaller/midsize waters and start concentrating birds.
Deer season opens next weekend but if the birds show up I’m going after them don’t know how long they will be sticking around

Sask will start emptying out in the next few days if the weather holds true. Nodak looks frigid after the upcoming weekend with day time highs and overnight lows in the teens and single digits.

My grandson and his buddies hammered the Specks and Greenheads this past weekend. They were tired of getting turned down to hunt deer so went water fowling instead , got on the first land they asked

No prob - SAK will be good for awhile yet. With Sask forecast snows will be moving good
Agreed. The daytime highs and single digit lows for the next 10 days make me think the snows will boogy sooner than later and not try to hang on like years past. If the daytime highs were 30s-40s we could get another week or two but it appears pretty frigid after this front.
