I am guessing this will result in a bunch of people high idling (nose way up - monstrous wake)

Mostly pontoons on the river this time of the year......but from what I have seen recently, not much activity at all from boats or pontoons.

Was thinking the same, usage has dropped way off. So maybe it wont be that big of a deal.

Pack your rangefinder!

The river is a mile wide, just run down the middle! Watch out for the monster cottonwood logs floating though. Running in low light would be suicide now.

wait you guys - I figured it out

You can set the rangefinder to read in meters - then multiply what your rangefinder is reading by 3.28084 and then you'll know how many feet away you are

math is hard yo!

ETA - 66.7 yards and you're good to go full throttle

Just make sure you range the actual shore line and not the rock that is a yard in!

or you could do that, but it seems like a lot of extra steps

I'll have to raise my waders up around my ears. Maybe run a snorkel out the top.

Wakes suck when wading. Wakes while night fishing at the tailrace always add some excitement to the evening.
