I bought a Buddy Hitter the other day. Super compact. Love it.

Sawyer,
I hate using the 1 pound bottles. They're always freezing up. I don't have the hose with the disconnect or regulator either, but turning a regular hose into the existing regulator works similar. Might not purge as well though. That parts seems pretty slick. I might have to get one of those.

I run a propane tree off of my 20 lb tank. I put a Coleman lantern on the top, run a hose to my heater in the shack, and run my grill off the back of the ranger with the other hose.

slick as snot on a door knob.

I've run a big buddy for two years using the 1lber bottles. I haven't had a problem besides melting flycarpin's bucket the other day.

RIP red Berkley bucket. You are gone but not forgotten. I'll remember the good times we had in DM's comically small ice shack
To be fair it's a normal sized icehouse for normal sized ice anglers. Not a couple of hunks like us

In order to tell you guys the S-show that our first time on the ice was, we're going to need to pop the top on some stellas.

If you figure an average of one cluster F per outing, we should be incident free until February

But in all seriousness you maniacs, I was a diehard Mr. Heater cooker fan. Bought a Buddy heater and regretted the number of years I fished with that loud sputtering antique. My Yukon ice house also appreciates the fact that it doesn't get a new burn hole every time someone forgets to open the door outwards instead of inwards. Zero issues with the Buddy in 5 years. Run it with a 20lb tank, hose, and inline filter
