Im probably going to carry the 7RM with the 145 LRX load I made up last year
I’ve still got a bunch of the old “pre-ELD-Anything” 75 A-Max I’m using in the 22Creed and a 1:8 22-250. Figure the Swift should be an easy swap. Hope the 22Creed doesn’t make everything else irrelevant…..I loaded up some Hornady 80gr ELD-X for my 22 Creedmoor today. I figured I would use it for Deer this year. They don't shoot as good as Bergers 85.5 gr bullets. The Bergers are a 10 shot ragged hole all day long. I have a 1 - 7.5 twist
Windage is all about time of flight. Mitigating the effect of wind therefore is primarily about retaining velocity. Bullet diameter itself isn’t as important as the shape of the entire projectile and its ability to retain velocity.Does wind have less affect on slimmer projectiles?
Cool. What about dimples and angular momentum?Windage is all about time of flight. Mitigating the effect of wind therefore is primarily about retaining velocity. Bullet diameter itself isn’t as important as the shape of the entire projectile and its ability to retain velocity.
For a given cartridge the highest bc projectile may or may not be the best @ retaining velocity. It takes a bit of running numbers to find that balance of velocity vs. BC that can minimize TOF.
No clue. Dunno if dimples would help w/that much rotational velocity or not???Cool. What about dimples and angular momentum?
