That's one hell of an automatic and would require major discipline to not waste ammo.

Also, I recommend a trying a box of Fusion 150's for elk, etc off the bench. "Same" price, bonded and "dime" accurate @100 IME. I posted this years ago: I wouldn't be a bit afraid to shoot an elk with a bonded 150 from a Seven Remington. Once I shot the "dime"; I bought three more boxes of the same lot number.

I recall a friend of dad’s arriving with his brand new BAR, I can’t recall the chambering. It was quickly nicknamed the “More Chances” rifle.

I have m1 Grand and shoot competition it beats shit out of you. I have an early BAR and have no complaints it burns lead like auto shotgun. Sits in safe now. I should have bought pile of M1 Grands when we had chance to get them at good price through government program.

I rarely shoot more than one bullet at an animal. If the shot is not "makable" i am not taking the shot.
