Who would play in the meantime? To bad they didn’t grab Carson Wentz for cheap.
How in the wide world of sports can you make any comment about "Bo Nix would have been better"
or "the Broncos pulled a good one on the Vikes" when you don't know the Vikings signed Sam Darnold to be the starter in 2024? Honest question. No smartass meant.

Because I am not a Vikings fan maybe?…Maybe I never looked into who they all signed other than JJ. Maybe I watched the draft and looked into a number of different teams and who they drafted to be generally informed…maybe I watched more college football then pro kneeelers..maybe I know more about Sean Payton then I do the Vikings…… I mean…is that hard to figure out…no smart ass response intended…..and yes I feel Bo nix still would have been better…even though I didn’t know they signed Sam Darnold…which I do now.

I still think the vikes need a big strong running back behind our qb, if you don't have a qb like pat money Mahomes. The vikes need someone to keep the defense honest when putting 8 in the box. JJ imo could really be compared to a nfl team like the 49ers with a top defense and a great running game, Purdy played an excellent game in the superbowl but poor coaching decisions made for a game that was out of his hands.

To catch a football...

I'll just let that sink in, if possible.

I can't even relate to that.
Nor can I relate to anyone spending the kind of $$ they do to drive and watch a game.
Drive to ShitHole Minneapolis, spend a grand.
Blows my mind.

Yep, I fricken hate sports....rockon...

His and others wages is what keeps a normal family of 4 from being able To go experience a game. Attending is for the rich these days.

Really surprised JJ accepted that deal, knowing in the back of your mind that your #1 goal will probably not happen there. It's damn good coin though, but he could have got close to that at a contending team.

....at the highest level in the world. Fans buy things, owners make tons of money, players get paid. Fans set the salaries, not the players. If everyone stopped watching, buying jerseys, etc. they wouldn't be paid at all.

I, for one, don't mind that they get paid what they do. Should the owners just pocket all that extra cash?

And not beat any women, or get into any other criminal situation. That is probably harder for these fella's than catching the ball.
No excuses, there are some absolute garbage dudes playing sports for big money. Think about it, it's the perfect storm for some of these guys. Many come from low-income families, been held in high esteem for their athletic abilities their whole lives, then handed millions and millions of dollars when they sign. Easy to see where that goes sideways real quick.

Just don't ask the taxpayers to ante up and build new stadiums.
