What is killing me lately is the wide number of networks and/or subscription services one must have in order to view any/every game during the season. It seems to rapidly be approaching infinity based on the seemingly exponential growth of the past few years.

And they probably wonder why illicit streaming services are springing up.
I believe doing this will lose viewers and as a result in the long run hurt the nfl...cant grow your viewership by restricting it....

The only thing I can figure is that is the way young people consume their media. Cut the cable and get every streaming service known to man.

I will. I buy ufc fights so why not the Super Bowl. And if it comes commercial free it’s worth every penny.
Superbowl would be one thing but at the rate they are going you have to have, paramount, netflix, amazon, espn +, and regular over the air. I think they may be trying to push people into just buying the nfl network stuff so its in one spot? They could be also shopping around to see which platform is the best for for the nfl and do what MLS did with apple tv and eventually go one place and require somwthing similar to apple/mls. They do this and it will 100% restrict viewership...not a good way to try and expand.

I just have youtube tv and a couple other streaming services and its still cheaper than cable or dish network. With WRT internet and the rebate i get twice a year internet is free. With better service. If they went to just one service i dont have i would just get sunday ticket for a couple hundred for the whole season.

Couple hundred is pricey...it is entertainment though. I jist figured they make enough on the commercials they didnt need to charge for it.

sorry - I meant to say the end zone - in junior high - should have clarified

sorry for any confusion, I was never a God-like NFL being worthy of adulation by armchair sports fans
Oh ya comparing how to act in junior high vs being paid to play might be a little different. Im sure every one here is always all business and serious at work all day every day never having any little bit of fun.

Not for 9 months its only 22 dollars month. Thats one 18 pack of bud light. Its 4 fancy coffees. Its 2 crank baits. Its 2 pack of smokes. Its 3 cans of copenhagen (which if putin drops a nuke i am getting a couple logs). I went through for a year and looked at all shit i would nickel and dime money away and it mind blowing. Hell two people cant eat at mcdonalds for that much. So if it came down to it i could cut out some of the other stuff and not be down any money

you think end zone nonsense is great, I think it’s embarrassing

that’s ok - we can disagree - or so I thought
Its embarrassing when the other team does it(because they let them score) but i love when jets hits the gritty means they scored and that makes me happy unless they are loosing by 30 but if any one has noticed if they are getting their ass kicked he does not do it.

I definetly would not be dancing some jig at work. Sure goof around and have fun, its just a bit much. If i wanted to watch dancing with the stars i would tune into a different show.

Yup absolutly. To me its very tacky. Have fun and celebrate, but these dances etc are just immature and unprofessional.
Wasn't long ago "spiking" the ball after a td was a 15yd penalty now this bullshit, show some class and integrity.

When was that like 1959.

  • The touchdown spike: Jones is credited with inventing the touchdown spike, where the player throws the ball into the field at their feet after scoring a touchdown. Jones was known for his speed and is said to have accidentally invented the move in 1965.
