And I don't mean they are paid to celebrate. The reasoning for the celebration is what I'm getting at ( interception,fumble recovery etc ) That is why you are employed as a an NFL player, too make those plays. I agree, it is an emotional game.
@CatDaddy , I'm just saying that is why I wouldn't ever attend a game. I do much more enjoy the home viewing (can sit or stand if "I" wish) than being there personally.

Right, can you imagine the looks we would get if we were to dance away from the podium after giving a professional presentation on our work?

Or, the welder who once again successfully joined two pieces of CO2 pipeline needed to do a backflip to make sure his boss knows how good of a welder he really is at this point in his career.

We all get paid to do something that we are better at than the average population, yet my McDonald's server just hands me my food and walks away.

I almost understand the individual spiking the ball and prancing away after scoring a touchdown, but these choreographed bits by half the team on the field are filled with people who just did nothing special.

Giving a presentation on some humdrum topic to a bunch of stuffy cohorts is neat and all, but I am guessing you in your field don't have a general population watching you "win" a speech to the tune of a stadium of fans, and millions watching you tell your story on the tele.

Being 25 years old or younger, having a crowd cheering you on, and being a physical event is not the same.

I being a 25 year insurance man would love the fucking fella talking about the next best insurance product, after 2 hours of pure drivel, to do a dance, and smash the podium mic on the ground. I would likely go to every meeting offered if that was the result.

It's a 60 minute game that just keeps getting longer, and longer and longer. If you need to watch Jennifer Lopez shake her ass at halftime and a bunch of 20-30 year old thugs shake their asses for doing their jobs to enjoy the game, more power to you I guess. The NFL delivered a great product for decades and now it is almost unwatchable if you truly love the game of football itself.
