Man I sure picked a bad year to give up alcohol for lent

Broke my streak last night with some 14yr Balvanie scotch and some small batch Four Roses bourbon. I thought perhaps I’d have a new appreciation for really good booze after a 294 day hiatus. Nope. On a related note, my tolerance certainly isn’t what it used to be.

Conclusion: I can’t imagine going back to drinking on the regular. Just don’t have the desire.

Last weekend a buddy came over he is going through some stuff drank some beers and we busted out the karaoke machine. It was fun till morning. Don’t miss the booze at all. He needed to let off steam though and what are friends for
