It appears that three commercial fishermen had a boat tip over on red lake. They are missing two of the 3 and the 3rd swam to shore. They sent out rescue boats trucks and even a polaris ranger into the water - maybe to get the black mercury that had its fuel line freeze and needed to be pulled out??? not sure -- but it looks bad.

Sounded like they went out in a boat to try get their nets before they froze. Weather forecasts might have been handy.

I like that they have the bimini top ready to roll. Must need some shade on those hot days.

THAT would be the visual representation of a C. F. I just hope nobody was damaged in any way.

Valley News Live is reporting that a truck broke through the ice and two Red Lake Fisheries employees are missing.

That VNL report is crap. It is a little hard to follow (or maybe I am just stupid) but the two missing fisheries employees did go into the lake via boat. The truck was trying to recover the missing fisherman (who are fisheries employees). I had to read some other news reports to piece that together.

I am confused. And none of this helps.

I'm with you. I don't understand why that white truck is where it's at. How far did he think he was going to drive on the ice and why did he think he could even drive on the ice? Or is the picture just taken at an angle that makes it deceiving?

Would guess the white truck thought he was still in shallow water since they are having to back way the hell out there just to launch the boats.

My guess is that the white truck had some experimental pontoons that were not fastened on enough and detached causing major suck and wet feet.
On a serious note prayers to the families, sounds like a very sad deal.
