OnX Fish is now live in ND. I downloaded it last night and played around on it a little bit. Seems like a pretty good tool for fishing.

If ya get a chance to trial, let us know what ya think. Ample amount of Lakes, Lake depths, etc.
I messed around with it for a bit last night. I like that you can pick what species you want to go after and then pick some other options such as Chance for a trophy and it shows you those lakes. I also think it will be well worth it just to have a live map and what depth you are at right on your phone. I will mostly be using it for ice fishing since I pretty much stay on the same lake all summer due to having a lot there. I spend way more than $35 a year on stupid crap I don't need.

I have fished the same 5 spots on western Sacagawea for the last 20 years.
With water levels last twenty years those must be the spot on a spot. Run to spot fish catch limit go clean fish eat fish very simple.

Go to the same area, find the depth in the area they are usually at, and fish. No catchy, head to the next one I have hammered out limits at, and repeat. Some of the spots are 15 miles apart from each other, so they are seasonal so to speak.

I am not overly impressed with the maps. I also don't know what they consider a trophy crappie in ND. Lakes that have 16-17" crappies on not showing up when I use that filter.

I did the free 7 day trial. It is a great tool for quickly assessing fish populations and sizes in a lake - makes it way easier than clicking through G&F website lake by lake. Not going to use it for precision mapping so I'm not worried about that. Although it seems on some of the smaller lakes and sloughs it provides at least a baseline of what's there.

I find fishing funner looking for spots..not trying to be arogant here but I know I can go catch fish if I want to. Trying new things and tactics and succeeding can be just as fun or more.

With the trial did you get Better contour lines than the free version or were they the same?
