i still don't know what to make of this whole skate ramp situation. care to share the story again?
Short story:
* last few years my friends had showed me hunting pheasants with dogs was really fun
*get dumb lucky and Royce the poodle gets good enough at it for he/I to enjoy slough hunting together late season
*end of last winter pheasant closes - I had gotten to best shape in a loooong time tromping sloughs
*thought to myself "how to keep this new physical condition intact? HATE treadmills etc... how?!!!
*recalled loving skateboarding in the 70s, did 360s, handstands, etc. back in 70s but never mastered "transition" (ramps, pipes, etc.)
*decided that was how I would do it - skate the skatepark in Fargo almost every morning all last spring/summer/fall
*late fall the cold weather came - skating in 30 degree weather sucked - decided I needed to start working on a mini-ramp
*spent about a month building one (October/November?) in modules in my garage - hauled modules to my small biz - finished it up there
*have skated almost every morning since, lost 15 lbs, blood pressure fell, feel great, having an absolute ball
*it never gets old because there's always the next level of trick to work toward
*this should keep up for years barring unforeseen health BS and/or crippling injury (I wear every pad/safety stuff imaginable)
