Better known as a chicken hawk.

Yea that's what the old timers always called them, Fun to watch them fold and freefall for mice and snakes when the combines are going in the fall. We also watched them take little chicks in the yard.

I will place my bets squarely on a Merlin or Cooper's hawk. Depending on actual size.

Ive only seen them eat birds, they hit em right out of the sky. I thought coopers hawk too, but the male looks identical to the prairie and peregine falcons.

Yeah i was looking at both coopers and merlins last night but if you start going detail to finite little details neither of those two matched up to your adult female your Prairie Falcons on the other hand looks to be a much better and likely option.

Definetely not a coopers hawk, i just looked up their calls online and they sound nothing like these loud sunsabitches.

Looked into it a bit and peregrines are rare in ND but one of the most widespread raptors worldwide. Matter of perspective I guess.

I had some pesky bird making a bunch of racket at my old house, I used about 20 pumps on the old pellet gun and handled it like a boss

Juanner,

You did not increase power. You damaged seals. Tool.

Rowdie,

No one believes this to be an eagle. The concern is a shithawk.

Lincoln, kinda...
No, we got a big lizard named Bob, swims in the pool and clears any mice or bunnies out from under the deck and in the gardens. You really know when he finds a bunny, 30 seconds of screaming, and 30 seconds after that a fatter lizard comes out from under the deck.

Didn't know you could have a pet Komodo in ND. Learn something new every day!

They actually look pretty cool in the pics online when they are out of water , They don't look like swimmers.
