Just had to share this - got a little buck fever with a tag in my pocket, watching some videos to fuel the fire.

This is one hell of a beautiful animal....amazing what God puts out there for us to discover.

Sadly outside of a high fence operation this deer has a higher than average chance of dying slowly in secluded cold water from sepsis. Once saw a cousin empty a '94 Win at a forkhorn without firing a shot. Sorry for the bummer. I've also seen a few "things" "up here".

Or more interesting...The white spot on his back wouldn't cause the limp IMHO. This buck has been wounded more than once,
