playin softball and drinkin beer

I played half an inning and tore my calf rounding third. So ended my illustrious softball career. I'm actually in better shape now because of it, but not playing softball was pretty enjoyable. Bismarck softball is home of the backwards-hatted, white-sunglassed, michelob-ultra'ed crowd.

haha.. ya our beer league softball up here in minto is probably more so the kinda softball you would enjoy lots of beer, sometimes some hard liquor..... and after we get done playing softball we go and drink more beer at some local watering hole. nobody has white frames within a few miles of the softball diamond, its a rule on the east side of the state...

I did enjoy softball in Fargo and Minneapolis much more than here. Hell, we had trouble getting guys out of the cooler and we were Class C.

I will be hitting some softballs this evening, we have a team on the beer league.
My daughter will be playing in Rapid this weekend for the 12yr old fast pitch tourney, that is way more fun anyway. These kids are really good from Dickinson.

We have our two games Saturday, but with most of our team MIA this weekend, might be out in the boat on Sunday. Definitely will be attending the wounded warriors game Fri night.

I will be playing the Saturday night game at 730. Gotta miss the morning game due to being in a fishing tournament. Gonna be a good day. Fishing for a while and then playing softball in the evening, followed by some ice cold blue yummies at a tent dance in Washburn for riverboat days!

Mcquades tournament weekend for me = stay far far away from town. Plus I am on call all weekend for work.

I'll be playing McQuades. My son and I are on the same team....we hit together in the lineup and play beside each other in the field. If any of you can stay physically fit (like me) ::: long enough to do this, I highly recommend it. Very fun.

I do enjoy playing softball keeping that competitive edge a bit, its nice to do a tournament with some pretty good competition, we won the rec 4 last year so this year we are in the rec 3, competition should be even better this year!

The whole thing makes me chuckle. FWIW Dirtymike, I would have done the same thing. Better to catch the thing, than not.
