word on the street is Legos have been in high demand on boys christmas lists this year / The Nintendo NES mini classic edition for big and little kids / Graphic Skinz Design Studio / Spontuneous board game / Emoji Knee High Socks / and of course what christmas list wouldn’t be complete without a Daisy 1938 Red Ryder BB gun.

Daisy Red Riders or Pellet guns are always a good choice. When I was about 10 someone gave me a set of throwing knives...great gift. A couple traps and skinning knife are an idea. A little taxidermy kit would be good too.

Daughter 1 wants some kind of egg that hatches into a stuffed animal. MSRP is $59.99, but, I guess it's "THE" toy for this silly season and the damnable things are ~$200 on Amazon/E-Bay or anywhere else they're actually available. I didn't buy any 22lr ammo @ 3x-5x normal price during the shortage/hoarding so I'm surely not buying some doggone stuffed animal thingy @ a scalping re-seller's exorbitant asking price.

Pink Savage Rascal seems like such a more practical and useful gift.

One of the hot items this year are called Hatchimals. A stuffed/robotic toy that hatches out of an egg. Retail on them is $59, but are super hard to find. They're going on eBay for $200-$300. Of course my daughter wants one.

My son asked for his first tackle box this year, so that's cool.

(funny SDMF, we posted the same toy at the same time.)

That's the one daughter 1 wants. Hopefully the Rascal is an acceptable substitute.

I don't remember the last time I shopped for the kids for a christmas present; paid for a shitload of them though... If I see something outdoor related they need throughout the year- clothes, weapons, lures, rods etc., I usually get it at that time. Could get by working 1-2 days a week without them little bastages, sure do love em though.

Back when my little brother was in high school and into shooting anything that moved I bought him a taxidermy kit for a Hun Partridge. Several years later I received it back from him for xmas. Cheap bugger thought I had forgotten I gave it to him first. My first exposure to 'regifting' LOL.

mrs johnr handles the purchasing of gifts for all of our family. Which turns out to be an awful lot. We buy for 2 sets of parents, our brothers and sisters kids, our 4 kids, a son in law, 2 grandkids, and 2 grandma's.

I also made all my kids so that they have their birthdays in November and December, so I have that huge gift purchase bill too.

Takes until April to pay the cards off.

I just rummage around the house and find things they don't play with anymore then just stuff it in Christmas bag beings I suck at wrapping gifts. Beings they are 2yr and 4yr this should be of right?
Try to do the same for the wife, "look honey I got you a pair of UGG boots just like you already have, and never wear.
