:;:Ya it would be great for two people me and my dad have fished over night in it a couple times

I like to lay the bench down when the fish aren't biting and take a nap, I like the lodge for that reason tho, I would recommend the seats for two people WAYYY more comfy than the bench

I would buy a lodge x2 if I were you it might not fit in a 5.5 foot box tho I have a seven foot box so I don't worry

I agree with the seats but I am leaning toward bench so I can take both my kids. Does runnings carry the Cabin? I guess scheels only has the Lodge and the biggest model. I wish I could decide!

I thought you could get either the Lodge or cabin with bench, when I bought my Lodge the regular lodge(600 fabric) is bench the pro(1200 fabric) is bucket seats

otter is the best on the Market in my opinion. Ive fished them all. I also like the new frabil as well. When deciding what to order at the Outfitters We decided on the otter for a few reasons. Best Sled in the Market. The frames are superior to others. They are easier to set up to be pulled with hitches and covers. The thermal covers are the thickest and the insulation was the best as well.

Sold my Lodge after 5 outings, not properly set up for the tank, no tracks=no fish, went back to a pop up, I did not have any complaints about the unit just too much weight for the way I'm set up, they'd have found me face down in a snow drift on of these days moving it.

I have a quad and picked the unit up late last season, worked nice with it last year, this year...well we all know what it's like out there, so either buy a sled, get tracks, or have a garage ornament. Many guys love the flips guess I just like the room and weight difference of the pop up, the otters are THE unit to get though by far, was out last Saturday-20 and the buddy heater on low kept that sucker toasty

one thing to consider between the Lodge and cabin is ease of loading solo, Lodge will not fit in 5.5 box BUT it is long enough to stand it up and load by yourself, cabin would be almost straight vertical lift

I wouldn't want to load lodge by myself. My buddy owns one nice room but hard to pull and heavy. Often times we leave items in sled that makes it impossible to load solo. Quality is better than my clam. My clam u can stand up and it fits my 5.5. Smaller ice area to fish inside house but I can load myself my wife daughter have no issues pulling or lifting it

I just looked it up otter lodge 124lbs TC Yukon 92lbs doesnt seem that much weight diff when u look at numbers. Probably my weak body to many satins

Yep the Lodge is 120 lbs and the Cabin is 95 lbs. From what I have gathered the guys with the room to haul and something to pull it with the Lodge is preferred. For those with the smaller box and maybe pulling by hand sometimes the Cabin is preferred. Makes sense.

It sucks but I can load my lodge im my truck by myself. I run 3 different houses and choose the one I am going to use based on the situation for the day. otter pro xt1200 lodge, clam kenai pro thermal and a clam bigfoot xl4000t. All of these are thermal and I will never own a house again that isnt.

If you fish with two guys get the lodge for sure. I would consider the cabin a big one man or maybe a one man and kid. I have the cabin with bench but keep the bench out because that thing is like half the weight of the entire house. Without the bench the cabin is nice and light.

On snow years like this for those without ATV/sled consider building yourself a Smitty Sled. They seem to be very popular in other states with more snow.

I "smitty'd" my Lodge to give it a try, was a little better, made so the skis popped off for storage/hauling

i've got an older lodge with the bench seat and the non insulated cavans with a couple of tears. heavy SOB. probably ain't worth much. so, i don't want to try sell it. but, i would like a thermal and maybe (maybe not) some new poles... just to make it super heavy. where is the best place to get that stuff? right from otter?

I would personally just sell it and buy a new one IMO.
