Hi all, I'm new to fishing North Dakota and was reading about the flooding away of the bait fish on lake oahe a few years back. What is the outlook on it this year? Will it only affect the southern end of Oahe or the whole thing. How about Sacagawea? If there are any good sources of information on the subject please let me know. Thanks.

2011 was really bizzare -- mtns chucked full, rain up the you know what, abnormal spring releases. That river has been quiet for how many years and then 2011 came along. Damn thing was high all year

Thanks, that was a helpful video. Winterkill info though, ugh... not what a fisherman wants to hear.

You'll be hearing too much of it this year I suspect. Just read on the G&F lake listing that Pipestem likely winterkilled. Sucks, early ice there was amazing for me. I caught a lot of walleye that would have been good eaters and keepers by next early ice season.
