Got cracks in my yard so big I can hear the demons of hell playing poker. Tried a rain dance last night and all I got were blisters and a stubbed toe. I need some help here. Anyone know of a way to get some of that water that Texas is getting rerouted to my front yard? Seriously though, we need some rain here at the fort. Wasn't kidding on the cracks either. They are a half inch to an inch wide. Need some prayers to Heavenly Father for some assistance here. Thanks!!

I’m with ya KDM…I’m a little afraid to get my rural water bill this month. The heat and lack of rain has made keeping the garden going a real project. Oh and the lawn is pretty burned up. Please Lord direct a little rain our way!!

I don't know about the rest of the state and crops but here the wheat needs rain and a break from the heat or it won't be much.

This year is the first year, I ever seen Wheat and Rye combined in July. The Wheat looked good. The combines were sure running along I-29 yesterday in N.D.

Every one complained when it was wet but I would rather have that than the barren waste land we have now.

I talked to a farmer down by Kindred the other day and commented on how few mosquitoes there were.

He looked at me like I had a nipple growing out of my forehead.

"We haven't had any rain -- why in the hell would we have mosquitoes??"

Point taken.

I live south of Bismarck. Outside every morning for two hours. I haven’t seen a single mosquito.

Hopefully with no water they weren’t born and the adults melted. I know there’s an ecosystem and food chain but mosquitoes can see their way out of it

Had .33" the other evening. Could use another 3 in front of that easily.
