If you see my hat on the dash, sorry. I don't want it on my head or on the floor. My truck didn't come with the convenient hatrack option.

yea, i guess i don't understind why people on here bash guys who wear orange when they bird hunt.... i do most of my hunting by myself and i still wear orange.... you never know when you will run into another group of hunters and the further away they can see me the better.... i guess i don't see the problem with another layer of safety when it comes to hunting

The big attraction to pheasant hunting is -

1 The birds are big and slow that most anybody can hit with limited or no practice.
2 Limited effort to be successful, usually doesn't require much walking.
3 They are colorful and take pretty pictures.
4 Very easy to get limit by 9am road hunting with equals more time for drinking
5 or some walleye fishing in the afternoon!!

no birds in Scranton, sorry dude. Head to south Dakota is all I got for ya.

We have no birds and they can hunt all the waterfowl and fish devils lake up there so North Dakota is the place for them to stay.

I hit the glacial lakes a couple times throughout the winter. I usually leave a steamy curl out on the ice and I sign it "KurtR - west river rules"

Must be a LaCrosse player, though it figures the stereotype given it's named after a town in WI.

I have 2 orange baseball caps. One for upland hunting a buddy gave me and the other for big game hunting that says "Winchester". I occasionally wear an orange vest, mostly because I like the vest for carrying a collapsable dog bowl and a couple bottles of doggie water and the day I decided I wanted a vest for that purpose, the one I found to fit the bill is orange.

I do err towards pretty shotguns however I don't fret earned scuffs and scratches. The poly finish is so thick on most new Walnut shotguns that it's no trick to strip off the poly and realize that the wood is pristine underneath at which point a guy just needs to buff in a couple dozen coats of oil.

That's my conundrum I grew up dominating the glacial lakes and now I still technically live east river but am west river all the time and would rather hunt big game west the pheasants and waterfowl are east. So as I see it I probably have left more than a few steamers on both sides and just sign it Kurtr rules.;:;rofl

most people don't know this but if you walk in cattails behind a poodle you don't get any in your eyes/nose cuz they all stick to the poodle

F150.jpg

now you know :;:smokin

when blue-platers see me coming with my poodle they hang there heads in shame, load their crap dogs up, and go home

so do your part - buy a poodle and take it hunting

p.s. they are the superior rock dove dog

Wish they let us start at sunrise be done in 10 minutes everyday.

I wish ND would start pheasant hunting each day at 9 or 10. that would eliminate road hunting in the morning. then maybe close it an hour before sun down..
