There appears to be a hiccup in the catfishing the past few days as they are moody. They are there and picking at the bait sometimes taking it and sometimes not. The pattern has not changed all that much in terms of locations with fish still mostly right down the middle of the river. Still longer sits but new this week is a good big fish pull and a short bite making things a bit frustrating. All you can do is shorten bait and grind through it to find the fish that will take the whole bait and hook up.
The rains of last week seem to have sparked more bigger fish to bite but the levels are back down to where they were before so exercise caution when boating. Water temps are starting to cool as the nights get longer.
Goldeye and sucker are the baits of choice with frog taking a solid third for me.
