What time of year does the walleye fishing ramp back up again?
How old are you? Your name Crappeihunter proves your no good at catching Crappie. If you were good you should be Crappieslayer or Crappiecatcher. You don't hunt them you fish for them. What time of year does the walleye fishing ramp back up again?
How do you know it's about Crappie, maybe he's a crappie hunter so that's why he talks fishing? How old are you? Your name Crappeihunter proves your no good at catching Crappie. If you were good you should be Crappieslayer or Crappiecatcher. You don't hunt them you fish for them.

Thank you, I missed the spring run so I want to try again this fallIt’s a slow climb in walleye fishing quality, starting w leaves dropping generally - all they way through ice up
watch for first major water temp drops on usgs gage sites
When you start to see frogs the likes of which are spoken of in scriptures hopping across the roads and yards in their annual migration to the waters from the fields is about the right time to start flailing the rivers for fall walleyes. The frogs tend to get them closer to shore and in the eating mood. Good Luck!!
It seems like most of the river mouths are private land, would I need a boat to access most of them?Where small rivers run into the Red can be fantastic in the fall.
I think the title of this thread has something about walleyes in it.How old are you? Your name Crappeihunter proves your no good at catching Crappie. If you were good you should be Crappieslayer or Crappiecatcher. You don't hunt them you fish for them.

How many horses did you end up with?I am now a Tritoon boat captain, and would refer you to the nicest beach area you can find, and have an Ice Cold Busch Light.

Backwater eddy, was one of the most knowledgeable red river fishermen around along with capt Brad. Beleive backwater eddy worked at gander mt.I sure miss the "Ms. Piggy" stories that were once told from a Red River guru. I cant remember his name now... I know he ended up drowning doing what he loved. Sad time for all of us former Fishing Buddy members
I will second KDM on the frogs. When I used to fish the Sheyenne in the fall starting about this time of year we used to use frogs a lot. Would keep a couple 5gal pale and nets on the hay tractors and catch frogs on a little break when we were seeing a lot. Was mostly catfishing but would catch walleye in the same area's or just off the slack water and in a current seam.thank you, I’ve seen videos of people catching tons of walleye on frogs during fall so I might have to try that if artificial doesn’t work
