I always had a lot of respect for him even before I knew his full story. To being ahead of terry Bradshaw at Louisiana Tech on the depth chart to quitting to hunt ducks, to his struggling with alcoholism at a young age. He’s a prime example of what god can do to the broken. He doesn’t call the perfect…… he perfects those hes called…. If you guys haven’t seen the movie out about him I definitely recommend it…..hard to see that movie and not have a helluva lot of respect for that man…..

I can’t think of the movie title offhand but it came out a couple years back. It showed the early ugly side of Phil and his transformation into the man he became….. really good movie
