River ice

Anyone been on river road this weekend? Trying to figure out where the breakup is at this point. It stalled for awhile around Washburn but looks to be trucking south now and appears to be somewhere in the wilton ramp area. The ice in town is taking a beating from the warm weather and the hesket hole is now damn near to Fort licoln and nearly full river wide at expressway.

I just want the ice gone so I can get the boat on the river....been a long winter.

Yeah me too thus why I'm curious where it's at and if it will have the time to get this far by mid week before she's cools down again.

What website do you use for your satellite images? I've been looking for a good one to try and follow the ice with as well. I put the boat in at the tailrace over the weekend just to settle the cabin fever for a little. Anxiously waiting to get the boat in down here.

We caught one about 17" and had a couple others that got off behind the boat but close enough to see in the crystal clear water. Talked to the game warden after we loaded the boat up and he said it was a slower day for most people, but Saturday was good.

Still solid ice at the Little Heart ramp.

solid in both directions as far as I could see at misty tonight. creeks as well.

Man a guy would be smart to pay more attention to the river right now because she's doing a hell of a job of showing off exactly were the main channel is at this point. Full breakup is just above double ditch and the channel is open to somewhere down near hoge island. Once we warm up it won't take long for the river to bust up through town.
