Don't forget the sunroof. They work good for teaching kids how to road hunt for as they can just stand on the seat or center console and be at the ready at all times. They also work good for shooting deer in highly populated areas with a bow when sliding van doors are not an option. Ideally, 2 sliding doors and a sunroof would be available. That way you can have 5 dudes shooting out of said vehicle without anyone stepping foot in the posted ditches.

You forgot the best thing a sunroof is for......on a very windy day you haul ass say 70-75 across a field ( you have permission of course) make sure your coming from down wind into a massive flock of geese you run until your right underneath them and go to town ....... Hahaha oh take your plug out and add a next ext. might as well get a ton of tickets if your gonna do it

I know a guy who shot at a deer across the hood and shattered the windshield and later that winter while chasing down I mean "hunting" jackrabbits shot a hole dead center of his driverside mirror shooting out the window. Was a great winter for ME, I mean that guy.

Never been a fan of shooting over the hood of a truck. Too loud or something. Id much rather lay on the gravel and take a shot prone.
Growing up it we would open the door and hang the gun in between the door and cab, was great for shooting gophers or squirrels in the trees.

There's nothing like bouncing around in a vehicle flying across a field at 70-80mph with half your body hanging out of the sunroof, the wind blowing your hat off your head, that huge grin on your face, and your shotgun bouncing up and down as you unload the ol' auto 10 into that huge flock of geese. Not that I'd know or anything but I did hunt as a teenager too.....

I know a few people who have had the antenna shot off of their vehicles.

A 20 gauge shotgun out the passenger side was really hell on them some years back.

Depends on who is seeing this happen.

The legalities of all situations is in direct correlation with who you are with, and who is watching.
mrs johnr and I snuck a bottle of rum into the movie theater before we had all the kids and stuff, we had to take a cab home from the movie and rent it a couple months later to remember the ending.... haha, she has always been a lot of fun, and gone along with my "great" ideas.

I am beginning to think this Mrs johnr is a mythical creature. Is there anyone other than Mr johnr who has made a confirmed siting?

mom wondered why I needed my binoculars all the time, while road hunting grouse, she also wondered why no grouse were ever killed. Then she found out the end came off of the binos, and it was filled with booze. that ended road hunting, an gravel road cruises with certain friends.

I have seen said mythical creature in the flesh. But they purposefully seated me at the opposite end of the table and I'm old so I didn't get a good gander.

Maybe they seated me far from Mrs Johnr because they heard about my exposing my appendix stitches at O'Kelly's. :;:huh

We kept this separation more for your safety, she goes nuts for the scientific type, she is a good woman, but gets out of control when the smart talk starts, I seem to never draw that side of her out...haha

We will be venturing over to Fargo again during the Thanks giving holiday, might have to get a night set up again for some drinks with the eastern guys.:;:howdy
