I find this amusing. Another way for SDGFP to try and drum up some money. I have seen a grand total of two elk East River my entire life. I wouldn't buy this tag unless I had one spotted and could buy the tag over the counter to go harvest it.

I'm assuming its a depredation hunt. If you get a tag you may be able to be set up with a rancher/farmer to wack one on their property?

No you have to use your preference for prairie elk and you cant apply for 9 years again. Not worth it use that tag for a chance at a true 400 out in harding county

I haven't read regs on it yet but thought heard you didn't have to use preference points?? If so than yeah I agree with you!

You dont per say but cant apply for the prairie unit for the 9 years
