tough to beat the flicker shad especially when you stock up on sale at 2.88 a crank.
i also like the salmo hornets ( not sure if thats a true shad style bait) 4, 4.5 and 5's but they run 7-8$ a pop
never tried the Cotton cordells walleye diver but ive been looking at em as well as cabelas has a line of cranks seem very similar to flicker shads at least in appearance
fished with reef runner rip shads before. I generally have better luck with flicker shads but that prolly because I fish them more than the rips shads.
Took a lot of nice walleyes off the sand flats last summer with the #7 Salmo Frisky and #7 Rapala Jointed Shad Rap. I am starting to wonder if it matters which brand you use. I think I just needed to learn where the lures had to run to catch fish. I will probably be researching some of these other ones that people have success with. I'm going to need more tackle boxes!
The salmo frisky brings back some memories. Had to be pushing 15 years ago when they first came out. Smashed the eyes on pelican with leadcore in October.
