Shooting bench build

I am planning to build a cement shooting bench soon. Has anyone one here built a cement shooting bench? Here is a link to what i want to build.

I am going to use concrete blocks instead of those poles though. I am planning to pour a slab for the cement bench also. I also plan to put rebar in the concrete top. Let me know what you guys think and if you have suggestions please share.

I also plan to glue the blocks together also for the legs.

Any suggestions on the dimensions of the cement slab that the bench will be placed on?
