Shore fishing around Grand Forks

I am going to be in GF next week Tuesday. I am going to be free from about 1pm on and though I would throw in a couple if rods and go exploring. Any tips for a newbie to the Red or any other local bodies of water. Thanks in advance. If anyone wants to meet up, I'd be up for that too!

There are opportunities to fish. The most common place and easiest to access is to fish at the North End Dam/boat launch. There are other areas you can fish but that is the most common. If you are up to exploring, anywhere along the greenway is accessible if you want to get a little bit of a walk in also. For tips, there have been recent reports in the fishing reports section. Popular walleye presentation is jig and plastic. Never hurts to get a line wet. Good Luck!

The greenway is kind of like a big long park that runs along the river. It is the area between the river and the Flood Wall. There is a nice bike path and benches and all kinds of stuff. http://www.greenwayggf.com/
