House was unrecoverable and needed to be off immediately. We stripped everything, poured 5 gallons of gas in each bed frame, and shot a bottle rocket through the door.

I think the bottle rocket is what the funny part is.

Whoever thought of the bottle rocket lived through starting something on fire with gasoline at some point.

We were behind a snowbank about 40 feet away when we shot the bottle rockets in, and the fireball that came flying out the door knocked us both backwards......I swear I thought it was going to reach us, but right before it did it shot straight up in the air. We were a little younger and a little dumber back then. This was probably 12 years ago, and at least we haven't had to burn down the replacement house.
