Made it out to again this morning. It's been weeks!
Caught two lil pikes, around 14 inches long so they obviously went back home in the water. The water was calm and very clear, sun was burning my legs so I called it a day after 9am.
happy to be out again.

I try not to touch them period. They never come in the boat. Maybe the landing net. I've had their slime plug the screens on the live well overflow and start flooding the boat. LOL
Im not surprised.
The amount of cleaning I have to do to the ice chest if I keep any is....rough.

When the grass gets like that; a 10/12in TR plastic worm with 5/0 hook is your friend. The wire is the only weight necessary. Try to fish it like an eel sneaking through; not aggressive. Right before/at dark you may get a whopper walleye. Mosquitos and walleye feed at the same damn time.

Also, don't set the hook too soon. The bigger the fish the lighter the "tic". Let the bastard eat it for a second.

Why did you ask him that?? :mad:Sometimes with svnmag you're better off just wondering what the fuck he is talking about and not ask more questions. ...rofl...
I can't help it. It's like unwrapping a Christmas present from the great aunt you only see once a year who has 10 corgis and knits her parrot, Pistol Pete, little cowboy hats.

Do more than what?
"Keep it in mind": This is cheap and effective, You can't half ass it. You're not going to get one with every cast. Your odds increase with rain/dark skies/low light in general especially with zero/light chop. Bright days require a slower presentation. It's a patience game. You have to believe: Like fucking Wendy.

Chop "requires" the spinnerbait OR more aggressive retrieves with the above.

Ma'am you really should do more than that...I talk out my ass a lot except about fishing.
Svn, this is the first post I 1000% agree with you on!

@SurvivalAmazon88 this man has been accused of many things, but providing inaccurate fishing suggestions isn't one of them. Albeit they may be out of box, they might just make you even more successful. At least give you something different to try...

Oh hell--yes you did. I'm just trying to fish vicariously. I used to fish there with the boy when it was possible to access the east side. I "trained" him with pike to learn at an early age how to fight "real" fish. I'm one of the few who hold pike and walleye in the same regard.

Sorry I ASSumed you wanted "better" results--lot's of bitching on here about content; especially mine:

Mostly potheads. :p

😂😂 understandable.
I'm happy for tips when I ask for them though.
That's why I joined this forum to begin with.
