Fished a surprising 5.5" at Audubon last evening. Was on a main lake point. The ice was clear and strong but had the nerves going. Was drilling test holes often.
Any luck for anyone. I was unable to go out this weekend but a couple buds have been out. They are getting fish but vary slowly. Never seen a year where the vex is full almost nonstop yet few want to play.
With the roller coaster pressure, which seems to coincide with the weekend. Makes it hard to fish that can be active when all else fails, I can always count on the night bite to save the day. I had that type of winter last year, since having an underwater camera was able to see perch, walleye, and northern in the same area. I think with some snow cover this year, I hope to have better luck finding active schools.
Dean, I think you were using the tape measure that you cut the first 2inches off.... You know, the one you use for proof to tell the girls you're average length.
