My racing days are behind me. Slow and steady wins the race once you get old. I'll have a seat to sit on and I ordered shock absorbers for that sled. I plan to fasten the yukon to a low profile sled and leave it set up all the time. It will all fit in my wheeled fish house even set up. I'd like to do a few overnighters at DL and run and gun like a 20 year old again.

Got the snowdog fabd up just have to button it up, in the meantime I found two kid size sleds for sale and got a brainstorm. Threw an old bike fork on one with fishing line for the throttle and 20 minutes later away I went. I need to redo it but just had to take it for a dig. It works perfect for what I need it for , early and late ice without a bunch of snow. Pulls the smitty sled as fast as I wanted to go and I can lift it in the pickup if I need to. It was easy to drag my feet on the other one once I found these but thats all good , I can take my time and do it right and with reverse.

I've never understood the idea behind a snowdog. Why not just use a snowmobile? Just as lite and you can sit on a nice seat and tow the same sled behind it. What's the advantage to these things?I
Ive seen guys unload one out of a minivan, hook 4 small otter sleds filled with kids and ice gear and take off.

Puts some cleats or studs in the track
Puts some runners on those skis then you would be able to go anywhere with it. Are those Honda engines
Nice find i have never seen those before

The skis have wheel kits but they don't bother on snow or ice. This thing is so light that i hardly have to push down on the bars to pull the skis off. I wanted to try it before studding it . I haven't been on glare ice but water slush and late ice has good traction. I forget the engine but they are foreign made I'm sure 2.8 HP but it scoots right along.

For me it's portability and some old age and laziness too. I'm stuck with a 6 x 14 with fold down rear door, my portable slides right in without folding it down and I pull it with snow dog and it will all fit in the wheelhouse . When the grands come with or it's cold then use wheel house. I like being able to leave everything in portable pull it out and go.
