About 1909, my great grandparents loaded up a wagon, left east central Alberta and made it roughly 700 miles south to Burleigh county. I can't wait to ask them why they stopped. Probably got the fuck out of dodge as soon as the snow melted and got here, just guessing, in September. Because who wouldn't want to live here in September? Either that, or that is where whatever was pulling the wagon died. Just couldn't quite make it another 400 miles south. Nope. Stupid fucking horse.

Juncos have pretty much moved out here, replaced by a couple hundred robins that seem pretty upset by the weather. Usually have some Cooper's Hawks around picking blackbirds from the nests later in the season, but would like to see the sharp-shinned doing their thing on the juncos.

No,last week, back in mn with my Vaseline visting my tax man and doc, more pics iffin you Google Breckenridge trail cams,we'll head back over Easter to close down the season, locals finish the ski season @ a-basin usually end of may elevation @14000' plenty of snow.
Better get those tickets this week because what I saw this weekend was dog shit. Didn’t make it to 14k but with damn near everything closing this soon you’ll most likely be breathing smoke on the 4th of July rather than skiing. Incredible how little snow there was, even at A Basin. The I70 traffic was incredibly light….everyone is done.
