The state didn't ban it the feds did and the state is just enforcing the feds law on that one. Thank Obamas FDA rules for that one.

I'll have to brush up on the legal end of this but if you read "too deep" into this story you might assume the same thing will happen with MM.

Lonna Zacher, owner of Terry's Health Products, said she has taken the product off the shelves for now. But she believes the product is legal under the Farm Bill and is working with her manufacturers to see if there is a way she can bring it back.
She should be right based on the Obama administration FDA farm bill. It will really come down to if the product is made with hemp from ND farmers. As far as I know if this oil is made from a illegal plant from out of state it would illegal since it does have traces of THC. It's got to be made from ND hemp anything else would be prohibited.

You are wrong it has nothing to do with Obama FDA rules the DEA has taken on its self to regulate hemp oil over state lines. Interstate commerce is regulated by federal laws also remember watching a documentary on Tommy Chong who creates and sells glass bongs and sold these bongs through the mail service. Which is illegal by a ruling enforced by the Bush administration after the 911 terrorist attacks. Thier reasoning was parphienelia supported terrorism so Obama actually relaxed state regulations of marijuana on a state level. Unless you can prove other wise stop posting Obama bashing and get your facts straight.

I think the thing they dont like about CBD products is that the plants are visually identical to THC canna plants, so enforcement would be tough. They would rather anything that looks like a pot plant be illegal... Also there always seems to be resistance to people producing their own medications, especially when they might be effective! Takes $$$ away from corporations.

My bad for mixing up the government alphabet soup of agencies. You are correct in the DEA being the ones pushing this but all of this BS of allowing all of the federal agencies to steam roll unimpeded under the last president in particular has to stop. It already has with the EPA getting thing headed in the right direction already.
No need to go all Chuck Norris on me man that was harsh and uncalled for.:D

Experts and industry react

It’s unclear whether today’s action is a signal from the DEA to the incoming Trump administration, or just a bit of shelf-clearing before DEA Administrator Rosenberg rides into the sunset with the rest of the Obama administration.

This story reinforces your statement to a tee.
There is no money to be made from healthy people.

I usually defend the police but shit like this makes it tough. There is SO much shit going on and they decide to waste time and resources on completely harmless things like this. They seem to always want to make the easy bust and not go after the actual bad guys.

I still think this is a few political cheerleaders and the state of ND flexing their muscles and setting up for their next move to refuse to honor the voters wishes for MM because that too illegal on a federal level. It must be a scary situation for those in the industry who are interested in investing in ND.

For the most part, I can't blame cops/police. They are human beings with bills to pay and a family to feed so they do what they are told to do by supervisors. Pretty sure there are a lot of cops between a rock and a hard spot on this issue. I bet If all LEOs were tested for MJ tomorrow morning and fired for testing positive quite a few counties/cities would be playing with a few cards short of a full deck.

The problem is that now 95% of the people that read this thread think lunker is a pothead, not that there is anything wrong with that. (Seinfeld rule).

No worm I am not a pothead just very passionate about everything that has to do with a weed that gets a bad rep, been around it when I was younger but with a job that frowns on any type of controlled substances i steer clear. As far as the rest of the story worm I have discussed why and not going to comment again.

Directly from the study:

Using a rating scale from 1 (no benefit) to 7 (great deal of benefit), 64 percent of respondents gave a 6 or 7 when asked how much benefit they think they received from using medical marijuana. Only 9 percent of respondents gave a 1, 2 or 3 for that questio
.

What happened to the other 27% of the people in the study? 64% are being helped fairly significantly. 9% are not, or not much. 27% what, forgot where they were? Forgot to report? Or, the MJ researchers forgot how to count to 100?
