If it isn't broke don't fix it. That applies to our posting laws and our blue laws. If we think about it I would guess it applies to many things North Dakota. So do we turn our backs on what our ancestors built and Kalifornicate ourselves?

3Rosters your crosswiring things. It's the left that dislikes Christian holidays, Christian observance of the Sabath day, and reservation of Wednesday night for those who must work on Sunday. The Christians I associate with think AOC is ridiculous. Now at the same time I admit that the ELCA that I went to eight or nine years ago are as you describe.
I think you and I agree politically, but I wanted you to know we Christians don't all fall into the same basket. As a matter of fact the liberal Christians would be for no Blue laws.
I was on the church council at the liberal church and we averaged about 30% attendance. At my current conservative church we have about 120 members, but about 250 attend each Sunday. We had to build or people would have to stand.

They didn't vote today. Not all committee members were there. It sounds like a committee vote next week and a floor vote the next.

I am happy to see the government will no longer be able dictate private business hours of operations

Really Guy? Nobody said anything about bars. Those restrictions still stand except for Sunday morning. Not saying I agree with this change as I do feel there should be some family time. Just don't think the Government should have their nose in it. In my 40 year Law Enforcement career, I worked many weekends, holidays, etc along with a whole lot of nurses, ER docs, EMS and fire folks, Wrecker drivers, snow plow operators, etc. In a perfect world, we could all take Sundays off, however.......

my 24/7 bar remark was a facetious response to juanr’s “I am happy to see the government will no longer be able dictate private business hours of operations”

I try to stay away from discussions about which reigion is right. You do realize stores are already open on the Christian day of Sabbath. Saturday is the original day of the Christian Sabbath.

Actually the Jewish Sabbath is observed from sundown Friday until sundown Saturday. Sunday was/is the first day of the "work" week. The early believers in Christ...most of whom were converted Jews, continued to observe the Sabbath but also met on the "Lord's Day" (Sunday) for fellowship and to observe the Lord's meal. Pretty interesting actually...
