Taking doe during muzzy season?

I know you could fill a doe tag during muzzle loader season with a muzzleloader if you didn't fill it during rifle season in the past. Is this still the case? I know you can fill a gratis that way, but not sure of an antler less tag.

I'm not positive but I think that was only when they were herd reduction tags

Ive heard this from many old timers. Filing rifle tag with bow or muzzy after season. I got exited untill i found out it wasnt true. I believe it may be in SD, but i think its more a lets make the kids think im OK to do this thing. Ive also heard many times that if you dont fill a buck tag you can shoot a doe during bow season.

I know you could fill your doe tag during muzzy season with a muzzy at one time. It was when they were handing out doe tags like halloween candy. I figured it was a special deal there for a while. Just wanted to double check.

Not no more. They have a late doe season if you have a doe tag. The any deer tags are tag soup now if you dont kill during the season

I should have clarified, this option wasn't for buck tags, it was for does only and like Ahab said it was during the hay days when they were giving out doe tags like crazy.

And it only applied to the extra tags. Not, your actual draw tag.

No only when they were issueing second season antlerless tags. Those could be used during any open season with the appropriate weapon. A gratis tag can be filled in any open season with the appropriate weapon.

If you buy an OTC tag, after both lotteries have been completed, you can use it for any season with any legal weapon during that season. Your tag will say on it "additional concurrent seasons"... They sold a few of those this year, but not many! If you got your tag during the regular lottery, you cannot use it in any season but that which it was originally granted for. This is how it used to be at least, and I dont think it has been changed...

Were those tags considered concurrent since a person could only get one if they did not have a 2016 tag?
