Terrova how to external ducer

anybody running a ducer on the end of terrova. I see these you tubes using rod socks or one guy used a bike lock wire.

Anybody did this or something like it - does it work? or shed some ideas that isnt going to cost an arm and leg. The wire is to thick to run down the the motor shaft indentation.

I have from a distance at boat ramp not really sure? I just run built in one. Some run really expensive lowrance active target, put like said running cables is bitch.

Take a look at transducer Shield and Saver. I have to do that for my new Power Pole trolling motor. The style I bought does not have the built in transducer as an option.... so, I am looking at putting the Lowrance 3 in 1 transducer on the barrel of the trolling motor.
