When using the factory auxilary connection on the bulkhead, you shouldn't have to unhook the kicker. Aren't there separate uptakes in the gas tank for the two lines?

Otherwise, I can see where a person may wish to unhook or put valves in the fuel line if you are using a single line coming out of the gas tank.

Id double check with your boat manufacturer but this is most likley correct. My boat doesnt have a Aux gas hookup so I would have to T into the main line. Unhooking would be a bitch!)

Ive had my boat die when loading due to lack of gas but never while out. Living right off the Missouri if I have bait its very easy to skip stopping for gas. Granted my fuel guage doesnt work but I always have gas in the 5 gal kicker tank.
