I'm fairly new to the hand gun game and really, really didn't or don't understand why we in the USA can't see a pistol or handgun with some descent velocity, some awesome knockdown power and a bit of accuracy out to a hundred yards.

Well after 5 or so years of researching these handguns, I think I've found one.

Now at that price, why in the hell would anyone be looking for a handgun that can shoot straight, out to a hundred yards, retain 75% of its muzzle velocity (1525 ft.sec) and nearly 60% of its energy (491 ft-lbs) at that distance? ;:;banghead

That's some crazy coin. Only 1001 allowed to enter the USA in '19 at $7500.00 each.

Good write up on it in American Rifleman Dec '18 issue page 56. Gun is manufactured in the Czech Republic.

I'll keep on looking!!

I'll give Keith Wood, writer of the article credit. I usually scan the new pistol write ups for price before I read. I scanned that article front and back several times before I said the hell with it. I'll just read it. And when you hit that figure at the end of the article you question why the hell ya wasted 5 or 10 minutes to read the thing. She's a head turner, that's why!! Coffee anyone?

I guess if I need energy in a semi auto a 10mm would do it for me. I wouldn't mind a 9x23 for plinking. I often get tempted by a 10mm when I think of something light to carry in the mountains then I stop and think my 44 mag has nearly twice the power if I push it and is very accurate. I shoot a cast 310 gr flat point. The calculation below is at 1300 fps, but I can get it to 1350. At 1300 fps I can go shoot 50 rounds, but at 1350 fps I worry about the old Smith and Wesson holding up. They say it shouldn't be a stead diet in the S&W. Ok in the Rugers.
