Septic problems are on the HIGH end of the Suckness Scale. This was NOT a good week at Fort KDM. Had the septic pipe on the outside of the foundation collapse 3 days ago leaving us without water facilities. Mama was REAL pleased with that. Called ND one call for an emergency locate, then the plumber, then an excavator, then watched a good portion of my fall hunting funds go "Down the Drain" so to speak. :( Replaced the cast iron pipe with ABS/PVC and put dual clean outs in. Blocked up the pipe going into the house to prevent settling as much as possible and added vermiculite before filling it back in. Ah the fun and games of home ownership.

Luckily we have a full bathroom in the shop with it's own septic system, so we used that. However, those midnight walks to the shop for the ladies of the house were getting a bit "trying" towards the end there.

One for each direction so if there is ever another problem, the plumber has an easier time finding which direction in the pipe the problem is in. The other reason is so that if there is a problem the plumber doesn't need to come in the house to do the roto-rooting
