I have 50lb braided line, spooled on my tip ups. When fishing, I use 2 rods in the flip over, and usually put out 2 tip ups. Was wondering what type of mono, and what poundage, of line you guys use as a leader, to tie your hooks/jigs/spoons to. This will be for walleyes/pan fish. Thanks!

My tipups are set up for river fishing 50# tipup line then 1/2oz bullet weight then a swivel. I tie up 6" to 18" shelled floater jigs or treble hooks on 10# mono. I tied a bunch a have them on one of those spinner rolls. Makes for easy swap if the fish swallows the hook.

6-8# mono or flouro is good. One thing I will never use again though is the coated "tip-up line" that stuff is horrible.
