I don't even have a multimeter. Haha. I've been meaning to pick one up but I honestly don't know what I need. On top of that, they're either 9$ and look like they're made by fisher price, or 150$ and look like they came from nasa.

What do you have going on Friday? I was going to go fishing, but its supposed to rain all flippin day. I can come grab the Feast on Thursday night and get it fixed on Friday. Or we can do it Friday after you get off from work. DEAL!

Personally, I am no good with a multimeter(can never remember what those damn symbols represent!). A good test light and a good place to ground it(example, rusted bolts DO NOT make for a good ground!) should be all you need when working with trailer lights. Like stated before, always check the fuses. A buddy of mine had I dont know how many fuses blow when running a trailer behind his pickup last year, I could hardly believe it. Good luck :;:thumbsup

I'm happened to cancel afternoon schedule three weeks ago in hope of getting on the river. Once I seen it was supposed to be raining, I figured I'd mill around the garage. So, whenever you're done with work, I'm down for that. Let me know what I need to fix it up.

The missus has to work. I was gonna go fishing until I saw the forecast. I don't work Friday's so anytime works. I will call ya tonight.

Maybe sweeney can bless us with his knowledge. He's kind of an ass hat about helping people and I hear his road rage is off the charts recently.

That peeperface probably was the one who messed up your wiring in the first place

haha, I believe it was a blue plater who forgot to plug in the lights and then told this ND kid that EVERYTHING works. I also have a livewell pump to replace.

Get a couple cheap multimeters. I have one in my truck, boat and garage. They can solve a lot of headaches quick when you have electrical problems. A test light works about as well but they don't make you look as cool.

if you're up to your elbows replacing the entire pump then replace it with a cartridge based pump so next time it's easy/peasy. Buy the extra cartridge now - the shelf life is forever and having one in the boat is good insurance.

if the current system IS a cartridge pump then you are lucky - it will be a breeze

That is what I'm changing out actually. A guy shouldn't have water in his livewell without running the pump. Thankfully, the bilge works.

I should test mine. WITH ACTUAL WATER FROM A HOSE OR SOME SUCH - not just listen to it "run".

My boat's so watertight I never get a drop in the bilge unless I spill a bucket or it rains or some such.

Well I think there's a crack in that casing. It was half full last night and I hadn't run the pump yet. As soon as I run the pump, I have water in the bilge area. Next boat is coming straight from the factory.

Not sure how your setup is but if your issue is water coming in the live well it may be the valves that change from fill, rec to empty. This is coming g from experience on older lunds. Sparkly boats may be differnt.
