If people could keep their mouth shut it might be that easy, but we all know people have to brag and eventually they brag to the wrong person. Or in today's world they video it and post it on social media!If the landowner admits to setting the trap, then its game over, he is liable. My point was the landowner could simply say that a trespasser must have set the trap and he is cleared, unless they can somehow prove who set the trap. I'm not a lawyer but seems to me would be hard to prosecute if you have no proof who actually set the trap
