I have a friend on the east coast who does underwater surveys (pipelines, intakes, outfalls, etc.) with submersibles - for a living - so I will rely on his guidance should I decide to "invest".

A nice big new Lowrance is double the price, so actually not all that bad considering.

Man you could sure F*** with some ice pirates with that thing. Drive it in a big loop and catch all their lines at once and then drive it back by the cable snapping all their lines. Then you get the joy of watching them sitting there talking about the big one that got away!
