I have one and like it. As long as you don't fish over 60 feet it will work for anything you want it to.

I always see the fl22 for sale. I'm guessing people don't like them. When I was in the market people told me to stay away from the fl22. So I bought a 20 and couldn't be happier. But other then that I have never used one. So I can't say anything bad about them.

i saw an 18 for sale with everything for like 250 the other day so i would think a 22 and putting in a battery for 320 is a steal?

I just assume at the time FL22 was the top of the line at the time and they are looking to upgrade. I have two FL-22's and they both never had issues. They will give off a slight glare if not positioned right in the sunlight. I had a FL-18 but sold it to a fellow fishingbuddy member. It had the hood and had a tendency to collect snow in the hood when hole hopping. Just make sure to buy a unit with the auto zoom feature I wouldn't be worried about buying a 22 and at $300 dollars I would snatch that up.
